I was inspired by a recent client to paint a #petportrait of my sister's #furbaby, Buddy, the #beagle. Best #giftidea EVER! Why didn't I think of this before? 

As you can see, her beagle is painted on a smaller surface (10"x10") compared to my #muttportrait (24"x24"). I also painted the beagle on a wooden panel. A new addition to my art career? Yep!

 The other day, a gentleman had seen a painting I created and asked if he could commission me to paint one of his dog as a gift for his wife. What a thoughtful gift! I'm jealous that I didn't think of doing this for one of my loved ones! Anyway, I glued copies of Humane Society adoption papers using Elmer's glue mixed with water

You might be able to see the hint of a dog drawn lightly over the surface. After letting the canvas dry (a few hours), I began to block in the features of Ruby.
